Today in 1972, ELO debuted in concert.

It was on April 16, 1972 that Jeff Lynn’s Electric Light Orchestra performed in concert for the first time. The group was formed to accommodate former Move members Roy Wood and Jeff Lynne’s desire to create modern rock and pop songs with classical overtones. You probably remember “Don’t Bring Me Down”, “Living Thing”, “and “Evil Woman”. But here’s another of their fifteen Top-20 hits that was Top-10 in 1979 that you might have forgotten!
