ELO’s Jeff Lynne Gets A Star On The Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Philadelphia, Pa (WOGL) -
ELO mastermind and well renowned producer Jeff Lynne will be honored on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.
Lynne achieved multiple Top 10 singles and albums with Electric Light Orchestra, including “Livin’ Thing,” Evil Woman,” and “Do Ya,”and went on to produce for big names like George Harrison, Brian Wilson and Randy Newman in the 80s and 90s.
He was also part of the Grammy winning super-group The Traveling Wilburys with Bob Dylan, Tom Petty and Roy Orbison.
According to ClassicRockMagazine, Lynne reportedly stated, ““I’m thrilled to be recognized by the Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce, and feel honored to be in the great company of some of my biggest heroes. Growing up in Birmingham, England, I never imagined my name on the Hollywood Walk Of Fame.”
Lynne will be honored along with fellow music men Holland Dozier Holland and Rick Springfield.
