Philly Native Hugh Panaro To Sing With The Philly POPS

This February, Philly’s own Hugh Panaro will join the Philly POPS for an exciting show called Blockbuster BroadwayDavid Charles Abell will conduct the orchestra as Rachel YorkAlli Mauzey and Panaro perform Broadway showstoppers from Stephen Sondheim’s Into the Woods, Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom, as well as music from beloved shows Hairspray, Les Misérables, Miss Saigon, and Wicked.

Panaro, an East Oak Lane resident, began performing at the age of 13 and studied vocal music at Temple University’s Boyer College of Music and Dance. He made his debut in Les Miserables as Marius, a role he originated in the first U.S. national touring company, but he is best known for his turn in Phantom of the Opera, being one of few people to have played the role of both Raoul and the Phantom on Broadway. He’s also toured with Barbra Streisand.
