Just weeks after joining the Women’s March in New York last month, where she took photos with Whoopi Goldberg and other protesters while in a wheelchair, speculation abounds about the health of Yoko Ono. The 83-year-old artist and activist was recently seen arriving at JFK airport in New York still in a wheelchair.
Ono arrived at the airport wearing a gray fedora and signature round sunglasses, much like the ones Lennon used to wear.
There is no word on if Ono is ill or having trouble walking on her own.
While we await details of the new film that Ono has in the works detailing her relationship with former Beatle and late music icon John Lennon, producer Michael De Luca is said to be working with Ono on the story.
“The story will focus on ripe and relevant themes of love, courage, and activism in the U.S. — with the intention of inspiring today’s youth to stand up for and have a clear vision for the world they want,” De Luca said last month in a statement.
With such a timely story to be told, let’s all hope she’ll be just fine.
