This July, two of music’s most iconic groups will co-headline a new music festival, taking place on the east and west coast simultaneously. Dubbed Classic East and Classic West, the festival will see Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles taking the stage for its inaugural year.
Citi Field in New York will host Classic East, while Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles will be the home of Classic West. Each setting will feature 2 days of music, with more acts to be announced in the coming weeks. Festival organizers hope to make Classic East and Classic West an annual event.
For the first time since Glenn Frey passed away last January, the Eagles will perform without their frontman. There is no word on whom, if anyone, will replace Frey for the festival shows.
While Classic East and Classic West are the only announced live dates for Fleetwood Mac this year, the band will be busy celebrating the anniversary reissue of their 1987 classic album Tango In the Night. Band members Christine McVie and Lindsey Buckingham are also working on an album of duets, slated for release later this year.
