Peter Frampton Debuts New Song ‘I Saved A Bird Today’

By: Renee Grant

A recent transcendent moment in Peter Frampton‘s life inspired new music from the rocker. He gives an acoustic performance of the song and tells the story of how it was written in two new videos. The single is currently available via all formats including streaming services.

As the title would have you believe, the song tells the story of how Frampton saved the life of an American Coot that flew into a window at his house in Nashville. After tending to the feathered friend, Frampton called up his collaborator Gordon Kennedy and told him the story, which lead the two to write a song about it.

“This is how the song sounded as we were writing it,” Frampton tells Billboard. “So much fun to play and I love that’s it a true story about caring and compassion, which we need more of today.”

Currently, Frampton is on an acoustic tour with the Steve Miller Band that will continue well into the summer. The tour makes a stop in our area on June 27th at The Mann. Concert dates are listed below.
