The legendary guitarist with the best hair in the business, Slash, is set to play a show at the Los Angeles Zoo on May 20th and fans will get to experience the set via virtual reality.
The show is part of a benefit supporting the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association’s 2017 Beastly Ball. Jack Black, Grace Potter and Bernard Fowler backed by backed by Jimmy Vivino and The Basic Cable Band will join the Guns N’ Roses guitarist on the bill. Proceeds will fund the new Species Conservation Action Network. Slash currently sits on the board of the Greater Los Angeles Zoo Association.
Produced in partnership with Citi, Live Nation and NextVR as part of their Backstage with Citi concert series, the show will be available to Citi card members via virtual reality with access to not only his performance but behind-the-scenes footage, an interview with the guitarist and his rehearsal.
“I’m honored and proud to be a part of the L.A. Zoo’s 50th Anniversary Beastly Ball,” Slash said in a statement. “It’s going to be the biggest yet, and I’m really looking forward to jamming live with some good friends.”
The live VR content will be available on a Google Daydream or Samsung Gear VR headset, along with a compatible smartphone, by downloading the NextVR app from the Oculus store for GearVR or the Google Play store for Daydream. Fans can go to www.nextvr.com/livenation for additional details.
