The weather finally seems to be cooperating here in the Delaware Valley, and we’re approaching a beautiful Easter weekend here in Philly. With gorgeous days ahead, here are some cool family activities to make for a fun, and perfectly sweet, holiday weekend.

  1. 86th Annual Easter Promenade – 5th & South Streets to 2nd & Lombard Streets:

Live music by the Philadelphia Freedom Band and the Bunny Hop, Easter treats (of course!), and prizes for best costumes will make for a perfect family fun day in South Philly. On Sunday, April 16th, Easter Sunday, families from all over Philly will dress in their Easter best and take a stroll through the neighborhood.   1. Hayrides to Bunnyland at Linvilla Orchards – Linvilla Orchard, 137 Knowlton Road, Media, PA

With our unusually warm winter, the Cherry Blossom trees have had a great blooming season this year. What better way to relax on a Sunday afternoon with the family than to take in the sight of the delicate pink flowers at our local arboretum? The best part? There are so many other beautiful florae to see, as the season for spring flowers is upon us. The celebration of the beautiful blooms runs from 10AM to 3PM on Saturday, April 15th.
