U2 Debuts New Version of ‘Red Hill Mining Town’ For Record Store Day

Just in time for Record Store Day, U2 has previewed their updated version of their song Red Hill Mining Town, set to be released as a picture disc on April 22nd.

The updated release will also appear n their 30th-anniversary edition of The Joshua Tree, features new vocals from frontman Bono.

The song’s concept explores the breakdown of a marriage in the context of miners during the British miners’ strike of 1984-85, originally inspired by Bono’s reading of Red Hill: A Mining Community by Tony Parker.
