This week two very worthwhile non-profits get lots of love on the program as Sherry Litwer from Philadelphia Magazine talks about their annual promotion that benefits Manna, and Sheri Cole from Career Wardrobe talks about her organization’s Hope’s Night Out fundraiser.
Sherry Litwer is the director, home and real estate for Philadelphia Magazine.
Each year the publication holds their Design Home promotion, which is an annual fundraising event where a home is completely redesigned by local builders and designers, and put on display for the public to tour.
Price of admission is reasonable and the redesigned home is always a site to behold.
The best part is – all proceeds benefit Manna right here in Philadelphia!
Sheri Cole is the executive director of the non-profit Career Wardrobe, who right now is gearing up for their annual fundraiser Hope’s Night Out.
Hope’s Night Out is a fashionable and fun auction, that also includes a cocktail reception, and benefits Career Wardrobe. This year the event happens June 6 at Moore College of Art and Design.
All this week people can place votes for their favorite charity in our area and Career Wardrobe is a top-3 finalist! Should they win, they will receive a $100,000 grant from NRG in Princeton.
While the other charities are awesome, I have a soft spot for Career Wardrobe and the amazing work they do in the community. If you’ve never visited their boutique, please do and drop off any suits you no longer wear to 1822 Spring Garden Street in Philadelphia.
