Phillies Team With Philabundance To Fight Hunger In Philadelphia

By: Renee Grant

The Phillies, Citizens Bank, and Mickey Morandini are joining forces for Phans Feeding Families. The collaborative effort with Philabundance is meant to help fight hunger in the city of Philadelphia.

Fans hoping to get involved can drop off nonperishable food donations at Citizens Bank Park at the Phillies vs. Red Sox game on June 14th at 7 PM. Use the code FEEDINGFAMILIES.

For every ticket to the June 14th game bought through the Phans Website, $8 will be donated to Philabundance.

Citizens Bank will provide the first 80,000 meals to the 2017 campaign by donating $40,000 in support of Philabundance’s KidsBites Initiative, which provides nutritious meals to children in need.

Phillies First Base coach Morandini along with other team personnel urge fans to volunteer to sort food going to families in need in the Delaware Valley.

A press conference will be held on May 23rd at the Philabundance Hunger Relief Center in Philadelphia from 10:30AM to 11:30AM.
