For the second year in a row, rain threatened, but didn’t dampen spirits at WOGL & American Heritage Credit Union’s 14th Annual Car Show!
The crowd was filled with families; smiling kids and happy parents could be found all over the lot. From face painting to football, there was plenty to do… even a petting zoo!
WOGL again teamed up with American Heritage Credit Union to bring over 270 classic and modern cars, great music, and fun to Northeast Philadelphia. A Craft Show, games and family festivities rounded out the event which benefits the Kids-N-Hope Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.
“We’re really proud to be a sponsor in helping Children’s Hospital, which is really one of the best hospitals in the world,” says Bruce Foulke, CEO of American Heritage Credit Union.
Trophies were awarded to event participants, and the cars were absolutely gorgeous. WOGL radio personality Cadillac Jack’s own beautiful 1976 Cadillac Eldorado was surrounded by event-goers for the majority of the day, a true beauty complete with an 8-track cassette player! Fans in the crowd could be heard gasping and wide-eyed over the bounty of classics and modern updates on display.
This year’s Best In Show trophy was awarded to Larry Clark for his 1941 Ford Coupe.
Taking home CEO’s Choice trophy was Mike D’Ambrosia for his 1946 Oldsmobile Coupe.
This year’s Judge’s Choice award went to Patrick Lamberton for his 2015 Corvette Z06.
And we certainly can’t forget Eddie Gonzalez who took home the trophy for WOGL’s Choice, a 1987 Monte Carlo.
Our station is always proud to be a part of an event that helps to support our surrounding communities, and that raises funds for local charities. This year, our 14th Annual WOGL & American Heritage Credit Union Car Show raised $10,000 to help children all over the country! We couldn’t have done it without all of you.
We thank each and every one of you that attended the Car Show this year, our 30th year on the air, and we can’t wait to see you again in 2018!
