A massive archival website focused on Neil Young‘s music career is on its way. Young teased the archive on his website in a statement on
Young gives a teaser about the archive on his website in a statement saying, “The musical information found here is a work in progress, always growing and adapting to new information as we find it. We have done our best to find all of the background pertinent to this music. If you have any more, please reach out to us with it. We are always looking.”
The Neil Young Archive (NYA) will show “when and how” the icon made his legendary music, dating from his 1963 debut to today.
Young’s entire music collection will be available via the site, using Xstream Music for high-resolution streaming. The service is Neil Young’s own, as he hopes to bring quality audio to digital formats.
There is no launch date on his website announcement, but the news coincides with the another big announcement; Young’s acoustic Hitchhiker album will be available on September 8th, 40-plus years after being relegated to his music vault.
